If you are wanting profession-based hands on-learning Camp COPE is for you. You will take an intensive university summer course. You will learn about grief theories, developmental considerations, cultural considerations and practices, be trained in safety considerations,active listening, identifying individual needs, and referral resources. If interested come and see Elizabeth Dimmitt, NWMSU Senior Instructor, for an interview and registration process. Please note a background check will be required.
STUDENTS
We love having trained counselors, social worker, nurses, guidance counselors, music and art specialist, and recreation therapists be a part of the Camp COPE experience. If you have a profession that would add to the camp experience please feel free to contact and see about fit for the program.
